Gratitude breeds attitude

When looking at a company of our size and structure, it's quite easy to be overlooked in an industry of tough competitors. The "domaining" industry was founded on the basic understanding of a few people that understood the law of supply and demand regarding unique availability of internet property known as domains. Take legendary domaining guru, domain king, internet property mastermind, or any combination of righteous nouns, pronouns or adjectives you could rightfully title this man, but Rick Schwartz in my eyes is simply "the man".

This page titled Gratitude and attitude- The catalyst for the success of Pacific Octane is about the overwhelming feeling of excitement, joy, happiness and extreme appreciation that one man has inspired a company to become. How good is that!? How can one person change someone's life and not even know it? I have received emails from clients and random readers of internet forums and blogs with the simple words "Thank you James." in them.

This page is dedicated to not only Rick Schwartz, but to the pull no punches writer Simon Johnson of domainerincome.com, the great analytical think tank Michael "Whizzbang" Gilmour and also the most dedicated person in my research of learning to actually record the history of an industry and do it with such professionalism, style, grace and above all passionate accuracy- Mr. Ron Jackson of DNJournal.com.

To these fabulous people, I say thank you. To these men of great vision, I say thank you. To these men of the domain industry, I say thank you. I have to give thanks because it's not only in my nature to do so, but it's part of my ingredients of success. It brings into being my attitude or inspirational passion to work if you will.

Henry Ford inspired an entire industry to build transportation. Where would our automotive industry be today without him? With all of my appreciation stated above, it is also my job to say that I am very grateful for my grandmother and my great grandmother. They instilled work ethic, drive, compassion, determination, innovative thinking and most of all- the desire to dream, visualise and believe that if I could see it, then I could be it.

Our small company here, Pacific Octane Pty Ltd, is a mere spec on the radar of an industry that is massive. I have a feeling that over the course of the next 12 to 24 months that will change and we will be recognised Worldwide. I believe we will, so it is true.
